Boudoir photography refers to certain lingerie, semi-nude or nude poses. True boudoir is black and white, artistic, tasteful and can be sensual, seductive, sexy or mysterious. The camera that you see on Behind the Scene has a special lens which was made in the 50’s specifically for the effect needed in true boudoir portraits. The soft focus look comes from “within” this special lens (vs. out of focus) to give your portrait an authentic boudoir look.

A good photographer doesn’t have to take a lot of pictures, he or she just has to know how to take the right one. In fact, most of the photographs on this website were taken with less than ten clicks of the camera and in many cases, less than that. We’d rather see you have a few outstanding proofs to choose from, rather than hundreds of so-so images. And, we take the time to make sure that happens. Think of it like this, if you were given two hours to go shopping and had a choice of spending that time buying one outrageous outfit that would make you look like a million dollars or buying a lot of mediocre outfits what would you prefer? It’s the same in good photography, less is more.

Boudoir Package:
This hour and a half session includes Large Format (4x5 using the camera on Behind the Scene) up to 10 shots, for a single pose, and one free digital 8x10 photograph of your choice. Price: $260. For information on additional poses please see FAQ page. After you see your proofs, you can add to your package by buying additional photographs. You have the option of digital prints or real photographs on Silver Gelatin Paper or Handmade Custom Archival Photographs on Museum Quality 100% Cotton Fiber Paper. They can be either B&W, Sepia Tone or Gold Toned. A Gold toned photograph actually has the precious metal, Gold, embedded in the photograph to create a special warmth and look.
